In the third quarter of 2024, the top 5 News and Magazines applications in the Netherlands showed varied performance trends on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

NOS saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 29K in early July, peaking at approximately 33K by the end of the month, and then declining steadily to about 5.3K by the end of September. Meanwhile, weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering between 620K and 720K throughout the quarter.

RTL Nieuws & Entertainment experienced a modest revenue stream, with weekly figures generally ranging between $400 and $600. Downloads started at 4.2K in early July, saw a rise to 6.3K mid-September, but decreased to 2.2K by the end of the quarter. The app's active users peaked at around 239K late in July but decreased to about 182K by the end of September.

TVgids.nl - Dutch TV Guide experienced slight revenue fluctuations, with weekly revenue ranging from $7 to $36. Downloads were highest at the beginning of the quarter, reaching over 5.3K, then fluctuated and settled at around 2.4K by the end of September. Active users peaked at approximately 57K in mid-August before gradually decreasing to about 46K by the end of the quarter.

NU.nl - Nieuws, Sport & meer did not generate revenue during this period. However, the app maintained a steady download trend, starting at 1.8K in early July, peaking at 3.4K in early September, and ending the quarter at around 2.1K. Active users remained strong, beginning at 871K and slightly declining to approximately 799K by the end of September.

Lastly, RD showed a decline in downloads, with numbers starting at 1.7K in early July and dropping to 544 by the end of September. Unfortunately, data on active users was not available for RD during this period.
